Plato

Plato  **Adopted** Plato is an 11 year old male BT who was turned into rescue when his owner died.  He's in pretty good shape considering his age.  He does have arthritic aches and pains associated with an older dog so care must be taken to manage his comfort level.  Given his arthritis,  a home with no stairs would be best. Plato was with his brother,  Socrates, all his life and would be lonely by himself so another quiet, resident dog would be preferable.  Plato loves to play with balls of all shapes and sizes and will bring anything you throw for him right back to you.  He's affectionate, although he does protest at being picked up!  He wants to be near you but isn't a lap dog. Plato is looking for a special retirement home where he can spend his days relaxing and enjoying the quiet life.  He is crate trained and house trained.  Adoptee must reside in DC/VA/MD area.  Home check will be required before adoption can take place.  11/2/2006
